Munchkins have hacked their way through dungeons, kung fu temples, starships, haunted houses, and super-foes. Now they face their greatest challenge -- Cthulhu! Will they survive? Will they retain their sanity? Will they . . . level up?

Munchkin Cthulhu is a stand-alone game that lampoons Lovecraft's Mythos and the horror gaming that surrounds it. Brought to you by Steve Jackson and John Kovalic, this set features four Classes -- including the Cultist -- and a lot of classic monsters from outside reality. And they all have Stuff you can take from their twitching bodies.

You can play Munchkin Cthulhu by itself, or combine it with any number of other Munchkin games for mind-bending silliness.

Errata to Be Corrected in the Next Printing

In the example of combat on p. 5 of the rules, the cultist should not lose the +3 from playing Canned Meat after another player plays a Curse.

Gene plays Curse! Amnesia, forcing Margot to discard her Cultist class and the Frothing enhancer she played on it. Now Margot is losing, 10 to 7.

Margot has another Cultist card and plays it, regaining the +2 for the other Cultist, Gene. But she lost Frothing, so she’s still losing, 10 to 9.

Margot plays In A Million-Year Sleep, which is -5 to the Grape Old Ones' combat strength. Now she's winning, 5 to 9.

    Corrected Errata

    Corrected in the 7th Printing

Add a subhead under "Monsters," on p. 5:

    Undead Monsters

Several monsters in this set are tagged Undead. You may play any Undead monster from your hand into combat to help any other Undead, without using a Wandering Monster card. If you have a card that can be used to make a monster Undead, you may play it with a non-Undead monster to use this rule.

    Corrected in the 2nd Printing

Kitchen Sink should not require a hand.

Foggoth: Delete the "fight with your levels only" clause. (Bonuses you get for reasons other than items are still usable.)

The Dunwich Snorer: The first sentence should be "If 'The Stars Are Right' is played in his combat, the Snorer awakens and gets an extra +10 instead of the normal +3."

Amnesia: The card should say "Lose Your Class Card" with no (s) on the end of Card.

Curse: Dragged Off to Snarkham Asylum: The text should be "If you are a Cultist, discard your Cultist card and pick a replacement Class from the discard pile. If you are not a Cultist, become a Cultist."

The following cards had "No Value" listed: Piercing Shriek, Song of Madness, and Maniacal Laugh. While it is true they cannot be sold, they are not even items, so the "No Value" is misleading and has been removed.

Cthulhu Bumper Sticker does not require a hand.
