A Good Problem To Have

Life is full of problems. Some of them are big. Some of them are small. Some of them are just mind-boggling. Our Atlanta warehouse selling out of Munchkin CthulhuMunchkin Boxes of Holding, and the +6 Bag O' Munchkin d6 less than a month after they started shipping them is an example of that last one. (Heck, they just started shipping the Boxes and the Bags O' d6 last week!)

What does this mean for you, the loyal Munchkin consumer? It means that you may want to go ahead and do that holiday shopping now, because once the distributors run out of these games (not to mention half a dozen others that are already low in stock), they are unlikely to see more before 2011. And since Warehouse 23 gets its shipments directly from Atlanta, once we're out, we're DEFINITELY out.

What does this mean for me, your friendly neighborhood Munchkin Czar? First, it means that we badly underestimated demand for some products -- like the title says, it's not a bad thing to make something that's a lot more popular than you hoped. It also means that I get to spend time huddled up with some Munchkin sets that I thought were safely on the shelf for a year or so, getting the next printings done so we aren't out any longer than we have to be. And here I was worried things were getting slow.

Finally, it means that we here at SJ Games owe you, the Munchkin players, a huge thank you for continuing to buy and play our games. Quite literally, you pay our salaries, and even when your insatiable need for new Munchkin stuff keeps us up late at night wondering where all our shiny new toys went, we are very grateful.
