2020 was a lot of different things to a lot of different people. For Munchkin, 2020 was busy.
We ordered 21 reprints for 13 products to make sure Munchkin was stocked and ready for all our fans stuck on lockdown. It came as no surprise when we had to reprint Munchkin Apocalypse; it was clearly that kind of year.
We released 18 new Munchkin products! Munchkin Tails and Munchkins & Mazes are full core sets; Munchkin Pathfinder 3 – Odd Ventures is a fun new expansion for Munchkin Pathfinder, and Munchkin Something Fishy, Munchkin Unicorns, Munchkin Tails of the Season, Munchkin Zombies: Grave Mistakes, Munchkin Cthulhu: Sanity Check, and Star Munchkin: Landing Party are expansions or mini-expansions that all add new cards and flavor to your favorite Munchkin sets! Munchkin Black Friday is a special pack that lets you add some shopping madness to your Munchkin, plus nine identical copies that you can gift to your friends!
It wouldn’t be very munchkinly of us to not add a few accessories to the game, so check out the Munchkin Pathfinder Kill-o-Meter and the Munchkin Pathfinder Goblin Dice. Those pesky goblins are everywhere!
Because you’re all munchkins at heart, you’ll have noticed that my merry mélange of Munchkin products doesn’t add up to 18. That’s because there was a drop pod’s worth of Munchkin Warhammer releases, enough to warrant their own news item!
We weren’t the only ones putting out great Munchkin games last year. Our friends at The OP released the very magical Munchkin: Disney! Now you can sing, loot, and fight classic villains with the help of your favorite Disney characters.
If you prefer minis to Minnie, try Munchkin Dungeon! The miniatures experts at CMON unleashed this new boardgame version of Munchkin in 2020, and it is crammed full of Munchkin minis. The four expansions – Munchkin Dungeon: Side Quest, Munchkin Dungeon: Cthulhu, Munchkin Dungeon: Board Silly, and Munchkin Dungeon: Cute as a Button – can be mixed and matched to ensure that your dungeon delve will be different every time!
